Before you sit down at any table, make sure you know the poker hand rankings from highest to lowest. This is the one fundamental every player needs to have down.
A, K, Q, J, 10 — all the same suit. The best hand in poker.
Five consecutive cards of the same suit. Example: 7-8-9-10-J ♠
Four cards of the same rank. Example: K♠ K♥ K♦ K♣
Three of a kind plus a pair. Example: Q-Q-Q + 7-7
Five cards of the same suit, non-consecutive. Example: A-J-9-6-3 ♥
Five consecutive cards, mixed suits. Example: 5-6-7-8-9
Three cards of the same rank. Example: J♠ J♥ J♦ + 8 + 3
Two pairs of different ranks. Example: K-K + 9-9 + 5
A pair of matching cards. Example: A-A + K + 7 + 3
No combination — hand value is determined by the highest card.

Just three cards per player — quick decisions, straightforward strategy. Great for a short, action-packed session.
Go up against the dealer with five cards — if your hand wins, you win. Includes a progressive jackpot side bet.
Seven cards are split into two hands — one of five cards and one of two. Both must beat the dealer's hands to win in full.
Played with just 36 cards (2–5 removed) — the odds of hitting straights and flushes are higher, making gameplay more aggressive and exciting.

Choose a betting limit that suits your budget. Tables are available for all levels — from new players to high rollers.
Put your best strategy to work — check, bet, raise, or fold. Build the strongest hand from the cards you have and take down the pot!
Withdrawals are processed in under 5 minutes, sent directly to your e-wallet or Malaysian bank account. All transactions are in MYR.
Your position at the poker table has a major impact on your strategy. Players who act later in the hand have more information available and generally hold a stronger positional advantage.
| Position | Name | Advantages |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Under the Gun (UTG) | Acts first — weakest position |
| 2 | UTG+1 / UTG+2 | Early position — play strong hands |
| 3 | Middle Position (MP) | Middle ground — more flexibility |
| 4 | Hijack (HJ) | Get more info |
| 5 | Cutoff (CO) | Good position — can steal the blinds |
| 6 | Button (BTN) | Best position — acts last |
| 7 | Small Blind (SB) | Posts the blind, acts second to last |
| 8 | Big Blind (BB) | Post the blind, with an option pre-flop |
Pro Tip: Always play more hands from late position (Button, Cutoff) and tighten up from early position (UTG). This alone can significantly improve your win rate.
Poker isn't just luck — it's a game of skill. Use these tips to sharpen your game from day one.
New players always want to play every hand. The discipline to fold weak hands is the most valuable skill in poker. Choose quality over quantity.
Read your opponent's betting patterns — do they only bet when they have a strong hand? Do they call everything? That information is worth more than the cards in your own hand.
Before you call, calculate the ratio between the pot size and the amount you need to pay. If the pot odds are better than your chances of hitting, calling is the mathematically correct decision.
A good bluff isn't just about deception — it's about telling a consistent story. Bluff on boards that favour your hand range, not at random.
Never play at a table where the buy-in exceeds 5% of your total bankroll. This keeps you in the game through poker's natural variance without burning through your funds.
Bad beats are part of poker — take them in stride. Playing while angry or frustrated (tilt) is the fastest way to lose money at the table.
Poker is the most talked-about game in the casino world — and for good reason. Unlike slots or baccarat, which rely heavily on luck, poker is a true game of skill. Players who genuinely understand the math, psychology, and strategy behind the game can consistently outplay their opponents over the long run. At V2 Casino, you have the ideal platform to sharpen and put your poker skills to the test alongside a community of Malaysian players.
Many Malaysian players first discovered poker through television — the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the World Poker Tour (WPT), and more. The intense, dramatic action you saw on screen is something you can experience yourself at a V2 Casino table, with betting levels suited to all skill ranges. From low-limit tables at RM 1 to exclusive High Stakes games at RM 500 and above, V2 Casino has a seat for every type of player.
One of the key advantages of playing poker at v2 casino is the variety of formats available. Texas Hold'em is by far the most popular, but you can also try Omaha Hi-Lo for a more challenging variation, or Casino Hold'em Live if you prefer a relaxed atmosphere playing against a dealer. Speed Poker is great for players who enjoy a faster pace and want to maximise the number of hands they play in a shorter time.
Poker tournaments at v2 casino are another major draw. The weekly Sunday Poker Cup kicks off every week with a RM 15,000 prize pool and an accessible buy-in of just RM 25. For more serious players, the monthly V2 Poker Masters offers a RM 50,000 prize pool with a much higher level of competition and reward. And for VIP Gold members and above, the quarterly Diamond Poker Invitational — with a RM 100,000 prize pool — represents the pinnacle of the poker experience on this platform.
When it comes to payments, v2 casino makes sure every transaction runs smoothly using methods that Malaysians are already familiar with. Deposits via Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX through Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks are available 24 hours a day. Winnings are processed in under 5 minutes — in MYR, directly to your preferred bank account or e-wallet.
Security is a top priority at V2 Casino. All game sessions are protected with 256-bit SSL encryption, and every game uses an independently audited RNG system to ensure cards are dealt randomly and fairly. You never have to worry about collusion or system manipulation — game integrity is V2 Casino's core commitment to every player.
Programme VIP Rewards v2 casino also offers great value to active poker players. Every MYR you wager earns reward points that can be converted into cash rebates. The higher your VIP tier, the greater the rebates and perks you enjoy — including access to exclusive tables and free tournament tickets for Diamond members.
For new players looking to try poker for the first time, V2 Casino provides basic guides in Bahasa Melayu and a Poker Mini table with stakes as low as RM 1. This gives you the chance to learn without the pressure of losing big. Once you feel confident, you can move up gradually — from low-stakes tables to mid-stakes, and eventually to tournaments when you're ready.
V2 Casino also offers a variety of promotions designed exclusively for poker players. This includes reload bonuses for poker sessions, weekly challenges with extra prizes, and a monthly Rake Race where the players who accumulate the most rake walk away with special cash rewards. Check the promotions page regularly so you never miss a great offer.

Real experiences from our player community across Malaysia.
"I've played online poker at a few different sites, but v2 casino has the smoothest interface by far. Speed Poker is genuinely addictive — fold and you're at a new table within seconds. Won the Sunday Poker Cup last week and withdrew RM 2,400 straight to TNG in under 3 minutes. Ridiculously fast."
"I'm a new poker player. I started with v2 casino's Mini Poker — there's a Malay guide and the minimum is just RM 1. Within a month I'd moved up to the RM 5/10 tables. Their chat support is quick to respond too, and they helped explain the rules whenever I was confused. It's genuinely a great platform to learn on."
"The Diamond Poker Invitational at V2 Casino is the best tournament I've ever joined in Malaysia. A prize pool of RM 100k, competing against serious players from across the country. I finished 3rd and took home RM 14,000. Their VIP program is genuinely worth it — the monthly rebates are reasonable too."
