V2 Casino offers far more than just match winner bets — every badminton match opens up dozens of markets for bettors who enjoy in-depth analysis.
The most straightforward bet — simply pick the player or pair you think will win the match. A great starting point for newcomers to badminton betting.
Bet on whether a match will finish in 2 sets or 3 sets. Closely contested matches between evenly matched players tend to go to 3 sets — offering attractive odds for those who analyse player form.
Pick who wins the first set without having to worry about the rest of the match. Useful when you are confident in a player's strong start but unsure about their stamina over the long haul.
Bet on whether the total points in a match will be over or under a set line. Defensive matches tend to go low, attacking matches tend to go high.
A handicap is applied to the stronger player — for example, Axelsen -1.5 sets means he must win 2-0 for your bet to pay out. This produces more attractive odds for lopsided matchups.
Bet while the match is live with odds that update on every point. Players watching in real time can read the momentum and bet on shifting conditions as they happen.
Bet on who wins the 21st point in a given set, or who reaches 11 points first. A niche market with high odds, suited for bettors who know a player's playing style inside out.
Bet on the overall tournament winner before it begins. Odds on Malaysian representatives at home tournaments like the Malaysia Open are always one of the biggest draws.
The table below shows sample badminton odds — multiply the odds by your stake to calculate the full payout you would receive on a winning bet.
| Match | Markets | Odds | Bet RM 100 Win |

Badminton betting is a different game from football — it's more technical and heavily influenced by each player's physical and mental state. Use these tips to make sharper betting decisions.
Head-to-head records between two players are a strong indicator in badminton. Some players have styles that match up particularly well — or poorly — against certain opponents. Studying the head-to-head gives you an edge before placing your bet.
Badminton players competing in two matches within 24 hours frequently show a drop in performance during the third set. A packed tournament schedule can be a key factor to consider when placing handicap and over/under bets.
Indoor courts with air conditioning behave differently from warmer venues — shuttlecock speed varies, which affects playing styles. Players who rely on powerful smashes tend to have an edge in certain court conditions.
In live badminton betting, momentum can shift in an instant. If you notice a top player struggling in the first set, their odds may be higher than they should be — a real opportunity to get in at good value.
Tournament outright odds offer the best value before the draw is released. Once the bracket is set, odds on popular players drop quickly. Bet early on Malaysian players at home tournaments (Malaysia Open) to get the best value.
If a Malaysian player wins the first set comfortably but the second set looks closely contested, consider using Cash Out to lock in a portion of your winnings. V2 Casino offers real-time Cash Out on all live badminton bets.
All major Malaysian payment methods are supported — deposit and withdraw in MYR with no hidden fees.
Throughout each BWF tournament, V2 Casino offers exclusive bonuses — place a minimum bet of RM 50 on any Malaysian representative and if they win, receive an automatic RM 200 bonus betting credit. The best way to back the national badminton squad while getting extra value at the same time.
Badminton is more than a sport in Malaysia — it's woven into the national identity. From the era of the Sidek brothers and Razif-Jalani to Lee Zii Jia and Aaron Chia today, Malaysians follow badminton with a passion that runs deep. When V2 Casino brought truly comprehensive badminton betting to their platform, it wasn't simply adding another sport to the list — it was an acknowledgment of how central badminton is to the lives of Malaysian sports fans.
What sets badminton betting at V2 Casino apart from other platforms is the sheer depth of markets on offer. Many international platforms only cover the basics, like match winner — at V2 Casino, every BWF Super 1000 match can open up more than 80 different markets. From straightforward bets like who wins the match, to technical markets like over/under total points in a specific set, first set winner, set handicap, and even live markets that update with every point as the match unfolds. This is a platform built for bettors who genuinely follow badminton, not just casual punters.
Lee Zii Jia is the most searched name in the badminton section at V2 Casino. The Alor Setar, Kedah native is a source of immense national pride and consistently tops fans' betting picks whenever he plays a high-stakes match. When Lee Zii Jia faces world number one players like Viktor Axelsen or Shi Yu Qi, the odds offered by V2 Casino always reflect his standing as one of the most gifted players in the world — not arbitrary numbers.
In the men's doubles category, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik are a pairing that consistently offers compelling betting opportunities. As world championship runners-up, they are capable of beating any team on a good day — which means their odds can deliver exceptional value when they face higher-ranked opponents. In the women's doubles category, Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah are also steadily establishing themselves on the international stage, making them an attractive betting option at tournaments like the All England and Malaysia Open.
The Thomas Cup is the most emotionally charged badminton event for Malaysians. Team spirit, national pride, and the weight of reclaiming a trophy Malaysia once dominated for decades — all of this makes Thomas Cup betting a uniquely compelling experience. At V2 Casino, Thomas Cup markets go beyond just the overall winner, covering the outcome of every rubber, team win handicaps, and a wide range of markets that let you put your in-depth knowledge of each Malaysian player's strengths and weaknesses to good use.
Live in-play badminton betting at V2 Casino is the feature most valued by experienced players. In badminton, momentum can swing in an instant — a player can be leading 14-8 in the final set and still lose. When these momentum shifts occur, in-play odds move fast. Players who are watching the match closely and can read a shift in momentum before the scoreboard fully reflects it hold a significant edge in in-play betting.
The Malaysia Open Superseries, held at Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, is the most special tournament in V2 Casino's calendar from a Malaysian perspective. The home crowd provides a genuine psychological advantage to Malaysian players — and this is clearly reflected in their historical performance on home soil. Malaysian representatives consistently perform better at the Malaysia Open than at any other tournament, making it a frequently sought-after betting opportunity for players who understand the home advantage factor.
On the payments side, V2 Casino ensures that deposits and withdrawals are as simple and fast as possible for Malaysian badminton fans. When Pearly Tan and Thinaah win their match and your bet winnings are credited, you want that money in your hands quickly — not hours of waiting. V2 Casino processes withdrawals in under 5 minutes to Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, or whichever Malaysian payment method you prefer. All in MYR, with no hidden fees.
Programme VIP Rewards V2 Casino also rewards active badminton bettors with additional benefits. Every bet you place during a BWF tournament earns VIP points that unlock daily rebates, weekly cashback, and access to exclusive promotions. During major tournaments like the All England or BWF World Championships, higher betting activity means VIP points accumulate faster — moving you up the rewards tiers in less time.
In short, V2 Casino is the go-to platform for Malaysian badminton fans who want to make every BWF tournament more meaningful. With comprehensive tournament coverage, deep markets, competitive odds, and fast payouts in MYR — every match featuring Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, or Pearly Tan becomes that much more thrilling when there's a smart bet riding on it.

The most common questions from badminton fans trying out betting at V2 Casino for the first time.
Real stories from Malaysian badminton fans who use V2 Casino to bet on BWF tournaments.
"Betting on badminton at V2 Casino is a different experience from other platforms — the set-by-set markets are what I love most. During Lee Zii Jia's All England campaign, I bet on him to win the first set at odds of 1.75 — it came in. Then I placed a live bet when he fell behind in the second set, taking odds of 2.90, and he came back to win. Two wins from a single match. Withdrew via TNG in 8 minutes. Absolutely brilliant."
"I've followed Aaron Chia since he was young. Only recently started betting on him at V2 Casino. During the Thomas Cup, I bet on Malaysia winning 3-1 against China — odds of 4.20, staked RM 80, and got back RM 336. The Thomas Cup team markets are incredibly detailed, you can bet on every single rubber. A platform that truly knows what Malaysian fans are looking for."
"At last year's Malaysia Open, Pearly and Thinaah made it to the final — I placed an outright bet of RM 100 on them from the semi-finals at odds of 2.80. When they won the final, I walked away with RM 280. The RM 200 bonus from the special BWF promotion came in on top of that. A total of RM 480 from a single tournament. V2 Casino paid out fast via DuitNow, under 5 minutes."
